This is a newly finished watercolor painting of Birch trees. I like the look of the bark as it strips away from the trunk. I call this painting "Birch Dishabille" because the tree looks only partially dressed.
I am a native Californian, a graduate of Scripps College, Claremont, CA. Transparent watercolor has been my medium since 1993. I have studied with many talented watercolorists, including Dale Laitinen, Cheng Khee Chee, Lian Quan Zhen, Karen Frye, Arne Westerman, Don Andrews, and Alex Powers. I am a signature member of Watercolor West,the California Watercolor Association,the Tennessee Watercolor Society, and the Texas Watercolor Society.
